Company Profile

Aeration Control Australia, part of the Industrial Automation Group, focuses on the delivery of high- quality grain aeration control systems.

The heart of these systems is the Aeration Manager™, a control system developed in association with Australia’s foremost research organisation, the CSIRO.

In the late-80s the Stored Grain Research Laboratory commissioned the CSIRO to develop a system that would solve the problem of damaged grain temperature sensors in stored grain. Many years later the CSIRO had completed testing of their Adaptive Discounting Control (ADC) system. This revolutionary new approach to grain monitoring and control allowed for predictive technology to be used in stored grain thereby eliminating in-store sensors altogether.

Based on their experience in installing and commissioning grain aeration control for Western Australia’s Cooperative Bulk Handling (CBH), Industrial Automation was invited by the CSIRO to commercialise this new technology.

The Aeration Manager™ was born!

In the process, Aeration Control Australia became an independent company under the Industrial Automation Group umbrella.

The driving force behind all this is Henk de Graaf who is passionate about the potential of this technology, especially in these days of deregulation of the Australian grain industry and the increased percentage of on-farm storage.

The company is now expanding its distribution base in Australia and overseas as well as bringing together different components of the grain aeration systems such as fans, ducting and switchboards.
